Training - Ability Over Technology |
|
|
One of the greatest vulnerabilities of Americans as they prepare to wage the War on Terror is our love of technology. Yet all too often our expensive high-technology systems and weapons are defeated by simple, low-tech solutions employed by committed attackers. The Vietnam War was one example of this, while 9-11 was another and the most recent incident in which a multi-billion security system was brought to its knees by something as simple as small knives.
Since then our preparations to fight future attacks have continued to suffer from the same weakness, a weakness our enemies will continue to exploit. Even tactical and academic training has come to suffer from a "form over substance" deficiency, where participants and instructors alike are more concerned with special effects, fancy simulators, light shows, hi-tech pretend weapons and entertaining Power Point displays. Yet other than the attention grabbing and impressive packaging, the actual techniques being taught and information being imparted is little more than the same "inside the box" training that has existed for decades. Training that has long been obsolete.
Archangel® is committed to providing the best, most effective, innovative and combat proven training available today for those preparing for terror attack. All of the hi-tech gear, training toys and weapons are seldom necessary to prevail in battle, and they are never a substitute for good training and committed operators. At Archangel® training courses you will not enjoy the luxury of viewing room and building clearing through 3-D virtual reality projectors, you will race through them yourself; you will run up and down the stairs until you get it right. You will roll in the dirt, not walk through palatial, multi-plex shooting simulators. You do not need to travel to anyone's state of the art facility for expensive training, when the real battle will take place in a simple school building and can be taught anywhere, within a department's training budget. For those undergoing tactical dive training for anti-terrorism you will get wet, haul your water soaked gear and self out of the water until you can do it quietly, and most of this will take place in the very polluted waterways in which you will operate. There is no training we do that we cannot do anywhere. At Archangel® we believe that if you are expected to operate anywhere, you have to be able to train anywhere. That is our pledge to you: ABILITY OVER TECHNOLOGY. |

The Beslan Terrorist School Siege and Lessons for America |
|
Archangel® Group, Ltd.'s senior consultant and instructor, John Giduck, arrived at the Beslan Middle School No. 1 in North Ossetia, Russia, at the conclusion of the battle by Russian Special Forces to retake the school. He spent months investigating all aspects of this attack, including many interviews with Russian Special Forces, government officials, and Beslan townspeople. Archangel® presents up to 8-hour seminars on his investigation into how the terrorists' plan was formed, intelligence developed for the assault, defenses deployed, and how ultimately negotiations failed and why, resulting in more than 300 dead in a ten hour battle. As well, this seminar covers the government's plan in handling the crisis, what went wrong, and what went right. Vulnerabilities of U.S. schools to this same type of assault and necessary changes in security to protect our children are presented in detail. Diagrams, video, and never before seen photos from Archangel's® representatives are included. Archangel® Group, Ltd. was the only American agency that conducted an on-scene investigation of this tragedy as it unfolded.
Mr. Giduck authored his book, Terror At Beslan: A Russian Tragedy with Lessons for America's Schools, to detail the history leading up to this terrorist event, as well all aspects of the siege and the aftermath. The book is available here. |

Multiple Terrorist Doctrine Training |
|
Prior to the Columbine Massacre in April 1999 law enforcement in America was uniformly trained to never move through an area that had not been thoroughly searched and secured; a slow and painstaking process. Since Columbine and the proven ineffectiveness of the prior tactical approach, the "Active Shooter Doctrine" was developed and every police and sheriff's department in the country well schooled in the necessity of moving quickly to the sound of gunfire. But this new development in law enforcement protocols is only effective in cases where there are one or two active shooters, who remain together, with no other threats to responding agencies. At the Beslan School siege in Russia in September 2004, as with other terrorist sieges before that, numerous terrorists held hundreds of people hostage.
In lightning raids, well trained and heavily armed terrorists take dozens, if not hundreds, of hostages, secure entire buildings, divide into teams with assigned sectors of defense against an attack by police or military. They set up ambushes, booby traps, and entrenched fire positions. All of this renders the Active Shooter Doctrine inapplicable, necessitating an entirely new tactical approach when police and military must move through areas quickly, while being alert to hidden assailants, ambushes and numerous areas in which hostages are held, all the while moving toward the sound of various battles. This course covers steps to be taken when responding to a true terrorist-hostage siege, when to attack and when to secure the scene, how to establish a secure area, how to conduct negotiations, how negotiators and assault teams must work together, in addition to actual planning of an assault and conducting that assault.
This can be taught as an academic course only, or as a combined lecture and tactical exercise scenario program. |

Mumbai, India Attack Presentation |
|
The world was stunned by yet another strategic level Islamist terrorist attack, victimizing innocent citizens, Westerners and Jews in the city of Mumbai, India that took place from 26 to 29 November 2008. No one was ready for at least ten Pakistani and al Qaeda trained terrorists striking fully nine buildings, detonating two taxi cabs, and killing almost 200 people with automatic weapons, IEDs and grenades. Nor could anyone have predicted three of those attacks devolving into hostage sieges that ultimately saw the deaths of every hostage. One month after this horrific strategic level terrorist attack, Archangel sent three representatives to Mumbai to conduct an investigation and assessment of these attacks. Comprised of John Giduck (author of Terror at Beslan, and co-author of The Green Beret In You), Major Joseph Bail, a 35-plus year police veteran from the City of Chester, Pennsylvania, and long-time SWAT commander, 20-year police veteran, SWATand dive team leader, Ernie Manerchia, the Archangel team interviewed top level military and special forces officers, including the operations commander, assault team members, police, hotel and restaurant employees, accessed government and military reports and evidence, viewed crime scene photos of the attack sites, and traversed every path of the terrorist attack teams, from their insertion on shore to their division into five units and ultimate attacks. Information as to how these attacks were planned, intelligence and surveillance conducted, targets selected, and types of attacks chosen for the respective sites is critical to law enforcement in continuing to prepare for terror attacks on American soil. As well, the tactics of the terrorists and how a rapid police response in the U.S. could lead to greater potential tactical hurdles must be understood and solutions devised. This classroom lecture presentation provides the evidence developed by the Indian police and government, photographs of the attack sites, and a detailed walk through of every known aspect of this attack. |

Terrorist-Hostage Negotiations |
|
This necessary course provides in-depth training on the dramatic differences between U.S. law enforcement's traditional hostage and critical incident negotiations approach, and terrorist-hostage situations. The training is based on years of experience in that realm from Russia, the Middle East, and the U. S. This course is divided into lecture and practical instruction, and is unsurpassed in scope and focus. |
|
Narco-Terrorism - Home and Abroad |
|
Conservatively, 90% of all terrorism is funded either directly or indirectly with drug money. This in-depth course explores the evolution of the drug trade from its foreign roots to the street level end result. Recent developments in relationships between international terrorism organizations and global organized crime groups is presented, including the joint efforts of these entities to bring drugs into the U.S., along with illegal immigrants and agents, weapons and explosives. In addition, this program tracks the ill-gotten proceeds and explains the roles of those involved at every level. |
|
Terrorism and Global Organized Crime |
|
The history of various organized crime and terrorist groups is examined, including recent information on the development of relationships between the international terror organizations and organized crime groups. Commonality of crime, joint efforts at criminal episodes and combined resources between the two that threaten the U.S. today are all analyzed and presented. |
|
Russian Organized Crime in the U.S. |
|
Called the greatest threat to American law enforcement today by FBI Director Louis Freeh, Russian - or former Soviet - organized crime has exploded across the globe. Its broad reach has affected almost every aspect of trade, commerce, international relations and crime in the United States. Every day American police confront elements of Russian OC operations, often without the ability to recognize the phenomenon they are confronting. This course examines the history of Russian organized crime, its modern development and exportation to the U.S. and other countries. Crimes engaged in, the threat to American and law enforcement, organizational structure and members at all levels are presented. |
|
School Security and Survival |
|
What is necessary to prepare our schools, school security and police to be able to (1) prevent, (2) defend against, and (3) successfully respond to a terror attack against our children? Based on the blueprint of terror attacks in Israel, Russia and elsewhere in which hundreds of hostages were taken in drawn-out sieges, including the Beslan School siege in southern Russia, this course presents hard-hitting information on exactly what must be done to prepare, and what the outcome will be if it occurs. |
|
Virginia Tech Massacre |
|
The Virginia Tech massacre (VT) briefing examines the evolution of tactics in school attacks committed by disenfranchised and disaffected American adults and children. Detailing the rise in both actual attacks and those planned (but prevented) the briefing demonstrates how even our own untrained citizens are studying the tactics of those who came before them, and further evolving the manner in which the attacks are carried out to present law enforcement and schools with the greatest tactical hurdles possible. The briefing provides highlights and details of the most recent major attacks – from Columbine to Bailey (CO), Nickel Mines (PA), and ultimately VT – many of which are unknown to the general public. The spectrum of extreme tactical threats to schools is presented, with an analysis of the elements of each to help schools and LE create a predictive model of behavior for both its students and citizens, but also for response. With the attack at VT being the most recent and resulting in the greatest number injured and killed, complete details of the manner in which Seung-Hui Cho studied these prior school assaults, adapted his tactics, carried out his assault plan, and the police response are provided, in addition to photos and floor plans. |
|
Mail Handling and Hazardous Packages |
|
In this short, several-hour program, even support level, administrative personnel can become adept at discerning letters and packages that may constitute a threat, whether due to explosives or weaponized agents or chemicals. To this day, no one has ever been arrested for the anthrax attacks via the U.S. mails that occurred after 9-11. Every year numerous individuals become victims of attacks conducted remotely via hand-deliveries, the mail or private carriers. Know what to do if this happens to you. |

REACT® (Rapid Engage And Close-quarters Tactics) |
|
This 5-day program has recently been adopted by U.S. Special Operations Forces. Instruction is based on combat proven close-quarters handgun techniques, together with the unarmed combat, weapons disarming, and weapon retention techniques of the Russian Special Forces (Spetsnaz). Instructors include: U.S. Army Special Forces Sergeant Major (ret.) and World Combat Pistol Champion, John A. Anderson; John Giduck, Russian Special Forces Hand-To-Hand Combat Expert, and Instructor at the International Anti-Terror School; Russian Spetsnaz veterans; and other military and law enforcement instructors. This is the only combat proven, fully integrated close-quarters hand-to-hand combat/firearms course available, and designed specifically for special operations.
|
|
Special Operations Advanced Small Unit Tactics for Law Enforcement |
|
In the modern anti-terror realm, and even the evolving criminal element, increasingly police must be able to function like military and special operations military units are forced to function like police. This program presents the critical close-quarter skills necessary for small units to be able to meet the demands of both. Small unit configurations, close-quarters firearms and cold weapons techniques, building and room clearing, immediate action tactics, prisoner securing, immediate medical care and evacuation, and hand-to-hand combat are all critical skills essential for any team to survive in this environment.
|
|
Special Anti-Terror Tactical Training Camp |
|
This 4-day camp features instruction on Special Forces small unit tactics, tracking, hand-to-hand combat, knife and shovel fighting, night operations, reconnaissance skills, immediate action drills, weapons retention, terrorist-hostage negotiations, and combat handgun capability. The Instructors include U.S. Army Special Forces Sergeant Major (ret.) and World Combat Pistol Champion, John A. Anderson; John Giduck, Russian Special Forces Hand-To-Hand Combat Expert, and Instructor at the International Anti-Terror School; Mike Rich, Russian Spetsnaz Hand-to-Hand Combat Master Instructor; and Russian Spetsnaz Veterans. They relay decades of practical experience from U.S., British, and Russian Special Forces, and address the current trends in terrorist and criminal activity dictating the need for this real and comprehensive training. Meals and lodging are provided at the camp. Each participant must bring a handgun and 300 rounds of ammunition.

Tactical Diving for SWAT |
|
Many police jurisdictions and military areas of operation have large bodies of water, or maritime avenues of ingress, with little to no tactical ability to conduct maritime operations. Those that have prepared for maritime operations have largely limited themselves to surface approaches, with no knowledge of, or capability for, counter-terror operations underwater. This UW ability is crucial to the prevention, detection of, and response to, both terrorist and organized crime/drug cartel operations. This course teaches the most tactically effective surface approach methods, targets, UW weapons, small unit tactics in the UW environment for both offensive and defensive operations, and close quarters battle in this realm. This course is based on the training and operations of the Russian and Soviet SEAL and anti-SEAL units called Delfins and PDSS, who trained many of the terrorist groups in operation today, as well as the U.S. Navy's Red Cell and SEAL Six teams. Likely terror targets, methods of attack, how to create an effective anti-terror team, and both prevent and respond to UW terror attacks is covered. All course participants must have their own scuba equipment, weapons, and be a certified recreational diver with a recognized organization.
|
|
Executive Protection |
|
Many law enforcement and military veterans are called upon to provide close protection for government officials, members of Congress, high ranking officers or threatened aid workers. Though well trained in many areas, the demands and goals of executive protection are different from, and largely the opposite of, all other tactical training they have received. This course not only teaches the critical differences between conventional tactical training and EP operations, but provides necessary skills in hand-to-hand combat, weapons disarming, protection team tactics, advance work, intelligence gathering and operations planning. |
|
Counters to Traditional Law Enforcement Defensive Tactics |
|
Based on the training of Russian Spetsnaz units tasked to infiltrate foreign countries. These units study the standard law enforcement defensive tactics and shooting skills of all target countries. Each has studied extensively those systems commonly taught and utilized by U.S. law enforcement. This course provides important information on the vulnerabilities of those tactics used by most American police and military for their own survival. |
|
Improvised Weapons |
|
In many instances, firearms and even edged weapons are not available when responding to a critical incident. Since 9-11, anyone attempting to respond to an attack on a commercial aircraft will face this very problem. Learn the extreme effectiveness of many common, everyday items completely legal to carry on your person in the highest security environments. |

Commercial Aircrew Counter-Terrorism Tactics |
|
This course teaches observation and awareness, small unit tactics, weapons disarming, improvised weapons, and hand-to-hand combat, all specific to the close-quarters environment of a commercial airliner. This program has been presented to hundreds of commercial pilots and aircrew personnel since 9-11. |

Women's Assault Response (WAR) Course |
|
Reality-based, hands-on instruction, designed specifically for women on how to defend against attacks ranging from simple assault to rape. One-half of this class is dedicated to instruction on the psychology of assailants, victim profiling, counter-surveillance and evasion techniques, and improvised weapons. The tactical section is based on the proven, fighting system of the Russian Special Forces, and produces very effective results using little force. |

I am a violent crimes detective for the Kettering Police Department which is a suburb of Dayton, Ohio. Myself and three other detectives attended the training provided by John Giduck at the Westerville Central High School on October 17. 2008. Mr. Giduck made an excellent presentation on the dangers facing our schools. Unfortunately in American society we too easily forget the tragic things that have happened in our past. It is a blessing that people like Mr. Giduck travel the country and remind all of us about the dangers we have yet to face from terrorist groups. Mr. Giduck is one of the finest speakers I've had the privilege of listening to. This one day class was one of, if not the best training class I have attended on terrorism. |

Our Tac team was involved in a deadly force shooting on April 1st. You would be glad to know that even though this idiot shot at us twice with a 30/30 rifle, no members of the team were hurt. This is the first time in the history of the team that we were fired upon. That it was a 30/30 rifle was even more nerve racking for the team members. The Team were totally professional and calm during this crazy situation. The suspect ate a lot of gas and barricaded himself in his tiny apartment. Two team members, one who attended your REACT® training, fired after the suspect pushed his rifle through the ceiling. They fired in the direction of the barrel and he was hit 4 times (3 .223, 1 40 cal pistol). Nobody panicked they did what they were taught and fired. I was in the room with them holding a fireman pole trying to open a closet door. After they fired I backed them out of the room and we held on the door way. Another team member was in our Peace Keeper APC and he fired at the suspect when he came out from the ceiling. He also attended your REACT® course. He basically covered us as we backed out. The shooters hit the suspect in his ass and the fatal wound was caused by a gunshot wound to the femoral artery. We believe he defeated the gas by climbing into the attic, which he used to get clean air. His apartment was so barricaded, that one of the guys said that it reminded him of how you described the school in Beslan from your book.
Six out of the 12 officers who attend your REACT® class in York have been shot at (two different incidents), three used deadly force, NO OFFICERS WERE HURT. Two dead aggressive bad guys. This last incident we felt like we were being hunted. I thought you might be interested in that statistic. I realized this about 4 hours after the incident. Our team have really pushed Point Shooting, and I know there are multiple officers here in York that are alive because of following your training and philosophies (80% have read Terror at Beslan).
Please use this as a thanks and a strong endorsement that your training methods work, the stats above speak for themselves. |

As with the other testimonials, the REACT® class taught by John, Sgt. Major, Walter, and Ron is the most beneficial training that I've received in my 7+ years as a Trooper. Every law enforcement officer, military soldier, security guard, etc. NEEDS this training. Our country, as a whole, would be a much safer place. Thanks again to everyone at Archangel®. |

I just wanted to drop John a quick note to say thanks for 2 days of great training on the Beslan School Siege. It was really eye opening and extremely informative. John obviously is well versed on this subject and the training and the information was presented very well.

The REACT® course was the most practical tactical training I’ve received during 11 years of law enforcement. Very few law enforcement vendors provide courses that challenge police officers in any way. Most require only attendance for satisfactory completion. The Archangel® course challenged my skills and physical abilities. |

The REACT® was one of the best schools I ever attended. All first responders should attend the class. It was a complete eye opener, on how the simplist movements can prevent the officer from becoming injured and the suspect apprehended. All work done with firearms was excellent and I have tried to pass on as much as I can to the other members of my department. I would recomend this class and others that are put on by Arachangel to all other law enforcement agencies. |

The REACT® training I attended in October was by far the most hands on and interactive in regards to use of force, both unarmed and training with the handgun, that I have attended in 16 years of law enforcement. The instructors did not simply go through the motions or follow a strict schedule in presenting and demonstrating the material, they made it fit to the requirements and the capabilities of the class. It has been rare in my experience to have instructors that not only have the knowledge but also have real world experience to back it up.
From a students perspective the amount of material covered, especially in the Systema portion of the training, was a large amount in a small amount of time. I think it would have been more effective if there would have been a third day of this ( adding a 6th day total to the training), so there could have been more practical work with this. The time allotted to the firearms portion was good but unfortunately we were unable to get into any of the rifle training in our class. Any course materials and handouts are always helpful to instill what was demonstrated and practiced during the classes. These types of courses always leave you wanting more. |

First off the training was fantastic, everyone who attend the class love it. Some of the SWAT guys who have been to schools like Blackwater, said that they thought Archangels'® class was far better.
I know John gave us notes but I do not remember an eval form. On the last day of class I was sore and tired so he might have told me what to do and I forgot. If you send me an eval form I will have everyone who attended that class fill one out and return it A.S.A.P. If you want me to have the guys send me an email with their comments and have me forward them to you, I can do that also.
John, Andy, and Walters' down to earth,"no bullshit", style of instruction is what hooked all the students from day one. When you have that much knowledge about their respective subjects, a lot of instructors tend to get large egos. The instructors from Archangel® have no egos, they are confident in their knowledge and all they want to do is share it with the students. They all are very impressive. We had a great week of training. |

ARCHANGEL® GROUP, LTD.
INTERNATIONAL ANTI-TERROR ASSOCIATION
I.A.T.A.
CITIZENS OF AMERICA, TAKE A ROLE IN OUR NATION’S SECURITY AND GLOBAL WAR ON TERRORISM!
JOIN ARCHANGEL® GROUP LTD.’S INTERNATIONAL ANTI-TERROR SCHOOL AND ASSOCIATION.
IF YOU’VE EVER WANTED TO GET INVOLVED IN SUPPPORTING AMERICA’SWAR ON TERROR BUT WONDERED WHAT YOU, AS AN AVERAGE AMERICAN CITIZEN COULD DO, THIS IS YOUR OPPORTUNITY. ANYONE CAN JOIN AND TAKE A HAND IN PROTECTING OUR COUNTRY.
A Call to Arms for all Americans who Do Not Believe that we are at War with "Man Caused Disasters."
America is a nation at war. That is a reality, not political rhetoric. And some of the battles in that war are going to be fought on American soil, in our buildings, among our homes and within our communities, as the lives of our loved ones stand in the balance.
Yet, though we are a nation at war, too few seem to realize it, and even fewer to appreciate the sacrifices being made by the members of our military, law enforcement and government agencies. Though a nation of 300 million people, one would be hard-pressed to find even one percent of Americans who have taken the time and trouble to educate themselves as to the dynamics of that war, the threats to America at home and abroad, and understand what it will take to prepare us for attacks yet to come to the shores of our country and keep us safe from harm.
One of the greatest failures of the U.S. government has been in not conscripting every American into this war effort. Long since 9/11 the people of this country have been allowed to forget this threat, deny the reality of war, to pretend it is gone for good and to go back to sleep. Thus, America must wake up, lest it perish in its sleep. The purpose of IATA is to serve as a wake-up call, a cacophonous and shrill alarm clock shocking the American consciousness, and the American people, into a sober awakening to the threat that is poised outside our doors. Many do not want to hear this alarm, this call to arms, preferring to pull the fluffy, white blanket of denial over their heads. They wish to pretend that terrorism has not come to our shores, has not threatened our homes and loved ones, has not already killed almost 3,000 people on a single day in September 2001. They have hit the snooze button of reality again and again.
Many wish to delude themselves into believing that the luxury-ridden lives we have enjoyed since the end of World War II simply must go on forever. They somehow believe that it is their God-given rights as Americans to squander their lives on vapid and vacuous pursuits, filling their time with obsessions over golf, expensive cars, fantasy football, celebrity magazines, vacations, and lottery awards of money they have not earned. They worry more about jewelry, 401K plans, and pathetic and pointless television shows - caring more about Ben and Jen, and Jen and Brad, and who got thrown off the island - than they do about accepting the responsibility of taking part in the defense of not only their own nation, but their own families and friends. Indeed, the defense of their very homes.
This was not always so. There was a time in our nation’s history when every American recognized, accepted and willingly took a role in the war we - and the world - were embroiled in. Just as we, and the world, are embroiled in a new and ever more threatening war. That time was World War II. During that time in which justice, honor, decency and morality were being tested in a crucible of foreign depravity and murder, every single American rose to the forefront. Every single person in our nation – men and women, adults and children – had a role, and they pursued the duties of those roles with patriotic abandon. There were Victory Gardens, meat rationing, alcohol rationing, silk rationing and rubber rationing. Few civilians enjoyed much meat in their diets, as it was saved for “our boys over there.” Drinks were hard to come by, no one bought a new set of tires throughout that war, and even women went without stockings. People grew their own vegetables so that our mighty agriculture industry could contribute everything to the war effort. There were blackout shades in homes in coastal cities, everyone drove at the Victory Speed of 35 miles per hour to conserve gas, and every single American – grown-up and child - spent every penny they could on war bonds.
That war was not won merely by the 16 million Americans who served in the military throughout that time, but by every single citizen. Since then the American people have been disenfranchised from every major military effort our nation has engaged in. This led to an ignorant public during the Korean War, and an antagonistic public, with many actively supporting our enemy, during Vietnam. Such operations as Grenada, Panama and even the first Persian Gulf War came and went too fast for our citizens to even notice. Yet we are now in a war that will last far longer than any other in history, and it cannot be won without the support of every single American.
Threats To Our Nation
The threat of Islamist terrorism in America has come, and it is here to stay. And it will remain until America – a nation of the greatest race of people in the history of the planet – rises up and with a single resounding voice declares that we will not go quietly into the night, that we will not perish without a fight; never quitting until the enemy has been completely vanquished. People have forgotten that the single greatest international terrorist attack that ever took place in the history of the world killed 2,986 people on September 11, 2001, in America! They forget that many other attempts have been thwarted by the brave men and women of our law enforcement and government agencies. And these attempts all occurred in America! They have forgotten that the single greatest domestic terror attack occurred a scant few years ago in Oklahoma City. But that is not all. They have forgotten that the single greatest mass juvenile-on-juvenile mass murder in human history occurred at Columbine High School too few years ago, and an even more heinous attack was launched by a young adult at Virginia Tech all-too-recently. Once again, in America.
All of these horrific attacks have taken place in recent years, on our watch. We are, indeed, a nation at war. But far more than the War on Terror we are engaged in, we are a nation and culture under siege, under attack from forces both without and within. As with any war, any attack on any country, the valiant battle in which the brave men and women of our armed forces, our law enforcement and government agencies, are engaged cannot possibly be won without the support and direct involvement of America’s single greatest resource: the American people. This is a nation that was forged out of a dark and violent wilderness by the People. Having built a new and stable environment, that very civilization became the first in the history of the world to exist for, and be governed by the People and for the People.
Now, those very people of America are under attack once again. We are all living on the time lent us by our enemies as they prepare their next assault, put their best plan together, provide their soldiers with their best training, preparation and weapons. In a very real way, we are all just passengers on United Flight 93, soaring unerringly over the lonely fields of western Pennsylvania, sitting in our comfortable seats while grappling with the question of whether we should fight, whether we should make a stand, assume the responsibility of our own survival and that of our countrymen, or sit acquiescent in the pathetic hope that if we do nothing – as we have done for decades – everything will be alright. Perhaps hoping that if we wait long enough someone else will come along and do our fighting for us, meet the duty for us, that we all bear.
Answering The Sound Of The Bugle
Make no mistake, the duty of preparing ourselves, defending our country, and protecting our homes and loved ones, falls onto the shoulders of each and every one of us. And the duty of supporting those who have answered the bugle in the professions they have chosen – professions that keep all America safe – belongs to every one of us.
The Archangel® Group exists to provide anti-terror tactical and academic training to U.S. law enforcement agencies, military and government departments. We have operated in such war zones and terror-controlled places as Kosovo and Serbia, Sudan, Sierre Leone, Nigeria, Afghanistan, southern Thailand, Russia-occupied Georgia, Israel’s borders with Lebanon, Jordan and Syria, Iraq, the Chechen War Theater, and Mumbai, India. With an international network of counter-terror experts, our small organization has the aggregate experience of hundreds of years of combat training, dozens of years of combat, all in more than 100 countries. We train tactical teams across the U.S., and such military units as Army Special Forces. We specialize in such things as hand-to-hand combat, close quarters combat firearms skills, tactical diving and terrorist-hostage negotiations, often for police SWAT teams, in addition to school security and tactical combat casualty first aid.
In its ongoing efforts to ensure a protected America through, both, the preparation and involvement of all Americans, Archangel® Group, Ltd. would like to offer American citizens the opportunity to join the fight in the Global War on Terror (GWOT). Many Americans are not military or law enforcement, but would still like to contribute to maintain the freedom our country has fought hard to keep. Our country is threatened by ongoing violence in our schools and our freedom is at stake against an enemy that has sworn it will see our country fall. Archangel® Group would like to give anyone who opposes terrorist threats and acts of violence the opportunity to join us.
Be An American You Can Be Proud Of
In the book, The Green Beret In You: Living With Total Commitment To Family, Career, Sports and Life, career Special Forces Sergeant Major and Archangel Board Chairman and founding director, John Anderson, concludes with the hope that all Americans will remember the sacrifices of those men and the time in history when we were all Americans: World War II. He implores every man and woman to strive to meet the standard they set: “No greater words could be spoken for our elite soldiers. No greater words could ever be spoken about any of America’s citizens. I commend to everyone to live your life so that someday someone can write about you, that you were as good as the Greatest Generation America ever produced. For that is the legacy of all Americans."
In the closing pages of Terror at Beslan, recognizing the inertia of lethargy that must be overcome for our nation and the people to be ready, Archangel Senior Consultant John Giduck wrote:
So to an America tucked comfortably into beds at night: sleep well. Close your eyes and go quietly into each gentle night, refusing to acknowledge the danger that lurks outside your doors. But before you do, get down on your knees and pray for protection by those who have already heeded the call, who stand ready to do violence against those who would do you harm. For the day is coming when they, even with their tremendous courage, will not be enough. Then, the battle will fall onto the shoulders of each and every one of us.
Whether you join this Association or some other, donate money to any of a number of charitable or even for-profit groups doing noble work to keep us all safe, or simply invest your own time and money into developing life-saving skills for yourself, your family, friends and neighbors, you must do something. Take a role, get involved, accept the responsibility that comes with life in our great nation. For, if America has 300 million people alert, aware, informed, prepared and reactive, no one can ever defeat us.
The International Anti-Terror School and Association has different levels of membership; however, it is not a credentialing or qualifying body. This is a voluntary organization of people of all professions and all walks of life, who want to have a role in the security of our nation. The Association is intended to give its members access to benefits and information, as well as help support Archangel’s continuing fight against terrorism. Association fees and the purchase of merchandise help enable Archangel® Group Ltd. to provide
affordable training to government, law enforcement, military and school security professionals. In addition, it supports the ongoing intelligence gathering, research and development of training that will help our country combat terrorism at all levels.
