Some active and retired military officers may find themselves in hot water with the discovery that many high-powered weapons of the Muslim fundamentalist Abu Sayyaf come from the AFP Logistics Command.
Government probers are now looking into reports that these sophisticated weapons had been sold in the lucrative blackmarket by some AFP brass.
Some of the weapons displayed by Abu Sayyaf members during a meeting with media are recoilless rifles issued only to government troopers.
