I was aware they had taken down a single photograph--without giving notice to me, mind you--of a Navy fighter jet flying over the Pentagon, an image officially released by the military.
My contractual relationship with Flickr, they tell me in precise legal terms, says don't upload any "stuff" which "isn't yours," or that "you didn't take."
The entities who would have a legitimate right to question my "web collecting," are agencies like Corbis and Getty, who remain seemingly unconcerned by my minor amateur editorial use. But Flickr, a hosting service FOR WHICH I PAY, acts as a surrogate for the fascist bastards, net nanny guards for the New World Order. Shame on Flickr! Shame!
You agree that Yahoo! may, under certain circumstances and without prior notice, immediately terminate your Yahoo! account, any associated email address, and access to the Service. Cause for such termination shall include, but not be limited to, (a) breaches or violations of the TOS or other incorporated agreements or guidelines, (b) requests by law enforcement or other government agencies,
So be it. This is war!
Maybe I'll link to my one Flickr friend, Jeff Costlow of Arlington, Virginia.
He'll go on a hunger strike for me I bet!!!
